My Plan for the Economics Site in 2003

Like most people, the beginning of the year is the time I set goals for myself and figure out what I'd like to achieve over the next 12 months. I've only been the Economics Guide here at About.Com since late November 2002, but in that time I've thought of quite a few ideas on how to make the Economics site the best on the web. My major goal for 2003 is to increase user participation at About.Com. There are three ways to interact with this website and discuss economics. They are:

Participate in a chat session

Economics at About.Com has a Chat feature that is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. To join the chat room see:

Read and write messages in the forums

The forums are a place where users can leave public messages and discuss their views on economics. It’s a great place to let the world know what you think, and to receive feedback from the other users of the site. It’s also a great place to go when you would like to ask for help on an assignment or a term paper. Check them out at:

Write an article for Economics at About.Com

Are you interested in writing an article on Economics that will be read by thousands? If you have an economics related website or blog, this is a great way to get new visitors for your site. The instructions on how to do so are here:

This site publishes articles on a wide array of topics. Here are a few ideas of topics that I think would make great articles:
